VILLA PARK— DuPage County residents will have several chances to attend free, informative fraud prevention workshops next week.
State Senator Tom Cullerton (D-Villa Park) is partnering with the Attorney General’s Office to offer Silver Beat workshops in Villa Park, Bloomingdale and Bartlett on Tuesday, Aug. 14.
Cullerton is encouraging area residents to join him to learn how to prevent identity theft, check credit reports and file consumer fraud complaints.
“Protecting residents is our priority. These seminars offer an opportunity to learn how to identify and fight fraud,” Cullerton said. “We are working together to give area seniors educational resources to combat scams specifically targeting seniors.”
