“It’s important to remember that hunger is a year-long battle for many residents throughout our community,” Cullerton said. “This is a great way for people to come together to raise awareness on this important issue.”
The need for donations doesn’t end with the holiday season. Local food drives are the key source of food to alleviate hunger throughout Illinois.
Cullerton will be accepting donations September 14 through September 30. His full-time constituent office located at 338 South Ardmore, Villa Park, will be accepting donations from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Much needed items include cereal, canned vegetables and tuna. Only non-perishable items will be accepted.
If area residents have any questions or concerns, they are encouraged to reach out to his office at (630) 903-6662.
