TCJobFair2015VILLA PARK – State Senator Tom Cullerton (D-Villa Park), local chambers of commerce and the Illinois Department of Employment Security will host a job fair from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30 at the Odeum in Villa Park.

Area businesses will be looking for qualified candidates, accepting resumes and giving on-the-spot interviews.

“The key to growing our economy is putting people back to work,” said Cullerton. “I encourage area residents to take advantage of this resource.”

Veterans seeking jobs will be admitted at 10 a.m. before the event begins for the general public.

The event is open to the press.

tc shred 2015rsBARTLETT– Consumer fraud and identity theft are becoming an epidemic in our communities. To raise awareness and to promote prevention, State Senator Tom Cullerton (D-Villa Park), Bartlett High School and School District U-46 to host shred event are offering paper shredding services for area residents.

To help reduce the chances of identity theft, experts recommend shredding things like bank statements, credit card offers and credit card convenience checks. Residents should also shred canceled credit cards, canceled checks, pay stubs, old photo IDs and tax returns that are more than three years old.

To accommodate all participants the limit is two boxes per a person. Boxes and bags will be returned.

tc hunger actionVILLA PARK- In conjunction with Hunger Action Month, State Senator Tom Cullerton (D-VILLA PARK) is hosting a food drive to benefit the Hands of Hope Food Pantry starting next week.  

“It’s important to remember that hunger is a year-long battle for many residents throughout our community,” Cullerton said. “This is a great way for people to come together to raise awareness on this important issue.”

The need for donations doesn’t end with the holiday season. Local food drives are the key source of food to alleviate hunger throughout Illinois.

Cullerton will be accepting donations September 14 through September 30. His full-time constituent office located at 338 South Ardmore, Villa Park, will be accepting donations from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Much needed items include cereal, canned vegetables and tuna. Only non-perishable items will be accepted.

ItascaTCTHVILLA PARK- In an effort to bring state government to the residents of the 23rd State Senate District, Senator Tom Cullerton (D-Villa Park) is hosting four community town hall meetings next week.  

“Open and honest government is the key to good government,” said Cullerton. “Our goal is to bring government to communities across the 23rd district to guarantee residents have a strong voice in Springfield.”

These meetings give residents the chance to ask Cullerton questions and discuss issues important to the 23rd Senate District.
