T. Cullerton Open HouseState Senator Tom Cullerton hosted an open house at his district office on April 4 to meet with constituents and introduce his office and staff.

“I was happy to get the opportunity to speak with residents of my district directly concerning issues important to them,” Cullerton said.

Almost 60 people showed up to speak with the senator one on one about many topics, from concealed carry to pension reform. The constituents were pleased to have a personal conversation with the senator.

 “It was a pleasure to meet you, your family and staff,” Phil Piper said after meeting with the senator. “I realized a long time ago that we, the people of Villa Park, were in good hands with you up front and center.”

In addition, to listening to the concerns of constituents, Senator Cullerton showcased his Business and Artist of the Month programs. This month, Shannon Blair-Sherlock was chosen as the student artist. Shannon is a junior at Willowbrook High School. Shannon’s artwork is displayed in Senator Cullerton’s office window. The purpose of the program is encourage young artists in the district pursue fine arts.

The business of the month is Audiology Service Inc., which sells hearing aids. Khalid Sabri, the owner of ASI, not only gives the gift of sound to his patients but in his free time is a Shriner Clown and visits sick children at local hospitals. Mr. Sabri is a shining example of what local businesses can do when they give back to community.
Senator Tom Cullerton is the State Senator from the 23rd District which includes the communities of Addison, Bloomingdale, Bartlett, Carol Stream, Glendale Heights, and Villa Park.
